One of the most common questions I get — especially from people who’ve read my books and are now starting to land real photography deals — is:

“Okay but how do you actually get paid?"

"Is it PayPal?"

"Do you lose money to fees?"

"Do you send invoices?"

"Is it awkward?”

So let’s talk about the part nobody glamorizes but everyone needs to understand:

the logistics of getting your money

Because this is where things go from “cool opportunity” to real business.

And remember — in this industry, you are being hired as a photographer and content producer. You create the photos or video assets, deliver them, license them — and the hotel, airline, brand, or restaurant handles all marketing and posting on their end.

You are paid for the content itself.
